Check out the Real Shiavo Story. There are definately a lot of misconceptions. This is not about Terri's choice at all. In fact, she was denied a choice. They didn't set a cup of water with a straw in front of her while they were slowly killing her of starvation, and tell her that she could just have a drink if she didn't want to die. The so-called "Terri's Choice" to die, was suddenly remembered by her ex-husband seven years after her "accident", when he was the only one with her and oxygen was suddenly cut off from her brain. There was never an investigation into the abuse that Terri suffered at her husband's hand, though her family pleaded for medical records and for investigations, they were ignored.

This was about the government interfering and taking away the power of Terri's family to take her home with them, and provide care for her. This was about an adulterous husband, who was living with another woman for over 10 years and fathering two kids with her, denying Terri any basic therapy, not allowing nurses to even brush her teeth, and taking the hundreds of thousands of dollars that he won in court cases for her therapy being used to fund high powered attorneys to steamroll the parents pro bono lawyer, and legally kill his wife.

This was about killing a poor, innocent woman, sanctioned by the courts, because one person, her ex, and the only person who stands to benefit from her death, wanted her dead. Now, how many of you would want the power of life and death solely in the hands of your spouse, especially if they stood to benefit from a million dollars when you died? Study the facts, the big media are not reporting everything on this, and they are so slanted for death that getting the truth is very hard.
